The Front is pleased to present its fourth solo show, untitled [recent work], by Ned Richardson. A Front member since 2018, Richardson explores the connections between the digital and natural worlds through a variety of methods and media. Richardson collaborates with deep learning systems called GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) to develop images, which he layers with traditional media such as egg tempera, glass beads, and cold wax. The resulting pieces are complex, reflecting accumulations of meaning and stories quietly collecting in digital drifts all around us, like fallen leaves.
untitled [recent work] runs January 8th through January 31st. Join gallery members and the artist for a limited occupancy opening reception Friday, January 8th, 4:00-7:00 PM. The Front is open Saturdays and Sundays 11-2 or by appointment.
Join us for Ned's artist talk via zoom at 7pm on Tuesday, January 19 (email info@thefrontvt.com for link). For more information, see our website
