On Tuesday, January 5 @ 1:30 sign in and learn virtually about "The Wild Animal Sanctuary "in Colorado. It's the world's oldest and largest sanctuary dedicated to rescuing captive-born large carnivores, and currently has over 600 such animals. Join Sanctuary Director of Public Relations, Kent Drotar, live, for an enjoyable and informative look at this incredible organization. Jane Vossler reports, "My husband and I traveled to Denver, Colorado last January and some friends took us to this sanctuary. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! As visitors we walked on a high boardwalk above the fields. Looking out we could see a pride of lions basking in the sun while just below us a tiger feasted on the meal a helper had delivered. The story of how they rehabilitate the animals is fascinating. Sponsored by the Community Senior Center. For the link to the program email jane@cscvt.org.
