The Waterbury Area Anti-Racism Coalition (http://waterburyantiracism.com/) is thrilled to present an evening of soul food, soul music and soul stories in a very special holiday event in honor of Kwanzaa and in celebration of the culture of the African diaspora.
The evening will feature stories and music with Ferene Paris-Meyer (All Heart Inspirations) and DJ Craig Mitchell.
For those in the area, a soul food dinner is available for takeout or dine-in (tables very limited) at Zenbarn in Waterbury!
For the full experience:

2) pickup your dinner from 4-5pm

Schedule:
5pm - warm up your food, prepare your drinks and listen to Dj Craig Mitchell warming things up
6pm - the main event! Stories and discussion interspersed with music while you eat!
730pm - wrap up and community discussion
This is an all ages event. Strict COVID safety protocols will be in place. Masks required when picking up meals. Dine-in service is socially distanced with masks required when not seated. One household per table only.

ABOUT FERENE
As a storyteller, I create heart-centered storytelling spaces through workshops, community engagements, culinary food, and more! I want to make a collective difference within my local Vermont community and beyond one story at a time. Excited to spread love, gratitude, and affirmations through my various offerings, showing up with ALL HEART! Breathing in and affirming one another's stories matters to me. ABOUT DJ CRAIG MITCHELL
cRAIG mITCHELL, a.k.a. oLIVER tWISTED, a founding member of the chart-topping production team The Orange Factory, fathered and cultivated the dance music scene in Burlington, Vermont, where he went to Saint Michaels College after moving from Saginaw Michigan...near the birthplace of techno, Detroit, Michigan.
With nearly 27 years behind the decks, cRAIG has served as a resident at New York City's legendary Tunnel and Limelight nightclubs and has played many of the country's most celebrated venues and club nights, while also doing his thing for international crowds in Canada, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. He continues residencies at Rise in Boston and Twist in Miami, but focuses on his several more open format weeklies in Burlington, VT, these days as a break from travel and production.
