Dear community members,

As we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day and his enduring legacy, let us reflect on one of his most powerful lessons: even in the face of impossible odds, people who love this country can help change it. In his honor, I hope we can all take meaningful action within our communities to create a better future for all.
Thank you to all who joined the WCUUSD School Board meeting on January 8th. We particularly want to thank the members of the U-32 Student Council for their diligent work collecting student feedback on the budgeting process and for coming to present their reflections to the school board. It was a pleasure to see these students shine and we look forward to collaborating with them more closely in the future.

At the meeting, we confirmed the five board members appointed to the Configuration Committee and the 3 administrators. Now with a full committee that includes 5 community members. This committee will study the WCUUSD education system and provide advisory recommendations to the School Board. These recommendations will focus on ensuring that all students receive high-quality educational opportunities within a sustainable and equitable education system. With the committee now fully established, their first meeting will take place on January 22 at 5:00 PM at U-32 Middle and High School.
