Come help Slate Valley Trails build and define a new foot and bike trail system at the Manchester property in Poultney! Volunteer trail work will involve brush and root removal and excavation and trail work using hand tools. There will be two volunteer trail work session options. We hope you can make it!
Session 1: 9 AM - 12 PM
Session 2: 1 PM - 4 PM
The trails we will be working on will be accessible from the Poultney Elementary School, but go onto the private property of the Manchester's. Signage and guidelines as well as more details about the trails will be posted and shared later this fall.
MEET at the entrance to the new Poultney Elementary School Bicycle Skills Loop Trail on the southeast side of the Elementary School. We will circle up and walk to the project site from there. Address: Poultney Elementary School, 96 School Cir, Poultney, VT 05764
BRING water, work gloves, and a mask. We will be following social distancing protocol.
