Mchakamchaka

Past event
Apr 19, 2014, 9 to 10 AM

Come join the Burlington Mchakachaka Group this Saturday at 9 in the morning! Mchakamchaka is a tradition of communal running/singing from Tanzania and other parts of Africa. The songs are simple, joyous, and lend themselves to tons of fun harmonies. It's a stupendous sensation when it all comes together in a flurry of friends, movement, and harmonies. Don't worry about getting exhausted, we go at a pace that everyone can stick together and still have breath to sing. All are welcome and more people makes it better, so invite your friends too!

When: Saturday mornings, 9AM to meet and learn songs, 9:30 start running
Where: We start at Pomeroy Park, at the corner of North st. and Booth St.

Hope to see you there!
