The 6th annual Granite City 5K Run/Walk for Veterans, a virtual event this year, is to be completed by November 7th, 2020. The event, with sponsors such as Community National Bank, 802 Cars and Metro Development, LLC., is to celebrate the service people in our armed forces and raise awareness of the many challenges that veterans endure. This event is presented by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #10 and Barre Elks Lodge #1535 with support from the Barre Partnership. Proceeds of this event will go to the Veterans' Place, Inc. in Northfield, VT, to support transitional housing and other services for our most vulnerable veterans.
Registration is open for race participants online at https://legacy.imathlete.com/events/GC5k2020. Race participants will receive masks with the event logo and a personalized letter. A silent auction will be held online from November 1st through November 7th at Noon.
