We invite you to join us for a Legislative Candidates Forum on systemic racism and other issues impacting the Windsor-1 district of Hartland, West Windsor, and Windsor. The forum will be hosted by the Windsor Black Lives Matter Group. Democratic/Progressive candidates for the VT House of Representatives (Democratic ballot) will be present to answer questions from BLMWVT to help voters learn about the candidates' stances on topics of importance to our communities, as well as to hear how they will work and vote to address these issues if elected to the VT General Assembly.
The event will be moderated by Shirley Jefferson, Dean of the VT Law School
Candidates: John Bartholomew, Elizabeth Burrows, Jennifer Grant, and Paul Belaski
When: Sunday Aug. 2, 2020 1:00-3:00pm
Where: The Common in Windsor on State Street
Submit Questions for the Candidates
BLMWVT would like to invite members of our district, particularly members of color, to submit questions to be read during our candidate forum. We seek questions for the candidates to address, and all questions will be considered. In line with the national Black Lives Matter goals, however, our primary focus will be on questions regarding and related to the existence and elimination of State-sanctioned violence, the liberation of Black people, and the end of white supremacy forever.
Please submit your questions for the candidates to: blacklivesmatter.windsorvt@gmail.com
