An hilarious play ZOOMing from Chandler on-line Friday the 31st shows there's no age limit on love.
Cloudburst, by Thom Fitzgerald, directed by Margo Whitcomb, tells the story of two 80-year-old lesbians who go "on the lam" to Canada to marry there, before it was legal for them to marry in the US.
In an interview with Ms. Whitcomb, Mr. Fitzgerald talked about the challenges of writing this play in 2010, when the legal landscape was changing so quickly. You can read this fascinating interview at the Cloudburst section of the Chandler website, www.chandler-arts.org.
About the script, Ms. Whitcomb says: "This is a fast-paced, high-jinks 'road movie'-type play, with tremendous heart and depth! You're sure to find it delightful, and right now we all could use a good laugh!"
Immediately after the play, there will be a live Q&A with Ms. Whitcomb and her cast members.
Tickets are $10 each, for as many people as you can fit around your ZOOM device, and can be purchased on the website.
