Announcing: The Craftsbury Chamber Players present a (socially-distanced) concert in Plainfield on Saturday, July 25, 7:00 PM at the Plainfield Recreation Field (rain date Tuesday, July 28, 7:00 PM).
Mary Rowell, Frances Rowell and Mary Jane Austin will perform a program of (mostly) Music from the Americas, including works by Victor Herbert, Amy Beach, Edward McDowell, and Astor Piazzolla.

The Craftsbury Chamber Players are back on track to deliver some beautiful chamber music to our communities this summer. We are launching There Will Be Music, an outdoor socially-distanced series performed from our newly created mobile sound stage. We are navigating both the weather and the need to protect each other from illness by performing masked and in areas where our listeners can comfortably social-distance while they enjoy a live musical event.
Our usual series spans 6 weeks in the heart of the summer. Since Covid has made our calendar irrelevant, we plan to present concerts as long as the weather allows. Each program will be repeated in several locations before switching to different repertoire. Since the weather is a deciding factor in our schedule, we will be listing a range of days we will appear in a given location, finalize a date about a week before appearing, and offer a rain date up front. Expect to see small posters appear in the few days before a concert and watch your community's Front Porch Forum and our facebook page for breaking news. As is often the case, we may find a better way of communicating details as we go along and will adjust accordingly so we all need to stay on our toes.
