Henry Homeyer will be the guest speaker for MVCA (Mountain Valley Climate Action 350VT) Gardener's Support Group Thursday, May 7th at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Homeyer is a UNH Master Gardener and writes a weekly gardening column for the Chester Telegraph. The life-long gardener also writes articles appearing in 11 newspapers around New England. Homeyer teaches organic gardening workshops at garden shows, clubs, nurseries, public gardens and other venues. He's a regular commentator on Vermont Public Radio and has taught sustainable gardening at the college level. There will be time for questions after the talk.
The MVCA gardener's support group offers an open forum in a relaxed informal atmosphere for those who are new to the gardening experience, as well as for people who have been gardening for many years. The group also has a Facebook page with over 170 members, "Victory Gardening in the 21st Century" where you can share photos of your gardening projects and ask questions and get support from the many experienced gardeners on the site. Cheryl Joy Lipton and Melody Reed of MVCA host the weekly chats. For more information or if you'd like to be included in the Zoom meeting please send your name, level of gardening experience and email address to mvca@350vt.org.
