The Rev. Dr. Nancy Jay Crumbine will speak at the First Universalist Parish of Chester on Sunday, January 26. Her subject is "The Tender Gravity of Kindness".

She writes: In this week of deep distress and fear, there is also the possibility of what Naomi Shihab Nye calls 'the tender gravity of kindness.' Kindness, not out there in front of us, not here in words I compose, but a gravity in the heart of each of us, in the way of being each of us chooses, in the paths we take to stay centered and whole.
