The Norwich faculty and staff and the Northfield community are invited to take part in a car parade honoring President and Mrs. Schneider on Tuesday, May 5 at 11:45 AM.
President Richard W. Schneider, one of the nation's longest-seated university leaders will retire on May 31 after 28 years at the helm. This is one of the ways we will celebrate his heart and dedication in service and leadership to Norwich University and beyond.
Cars will enter the Norwich campus from the south end and form a line-up along Power Plant Road (in front of Andrews Hall and Haynes Stadium) beginning at 11:15 AM. At 11:45 AM the procession will head up Jackman Hill and enter the Upper Parade through the gates next to Jackman Hall. President and Mrs. Schneider will be on the steps of Jackman Hall. Drivers will pass Jackman honking, waving and displaying signs, balloons, etc. with well wishes. Drivers will continue down the left (east) side of the UP to the Goodyear gates where they will exit.
Everyone is welcome to join the fun while maintaining appropriate social distancing practices!
