WGDR's weekday 9 am coverage on all things local and Vermont about the response to Covid-19, Community and the Pandemic, is broadcast weekdays at 9 am and again at noon.
If your business is farming in your greenhouses and fields right around your house, spring during pandemic-related lockdown orders can feel pretty normal--until you turn on the news. That's one of the insights Richard Wiswall has in a conversation that will be on Community and the Pandemic Thursday, April 2. Wiswall farms at Cate Farm in East Montpelier. He also says that while farming is considered an essential business by pandemic-related orders, growing vegetable seedlings and selling them to gardeners is not. He'll describe how he and Sally Colman plan to sell seedlings this year, when state orders appear to forbid the popular plant sales that Cate Farm has held on weekends in May.
Thursday's edition of Community and the Pandemic will be 20 minutes long, followed at 9:20 am by Relocalizing Vermont and at 12:20 pm by All Mixed Up, joined in progress. WGRD Plainfield at 91.1 FM, WGDH Hardwick at 91.7 FM, and online at wgdr.org
