The Spring Repair Cafe is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 from 10-2pm at the Charlotte Congregational Church. Start gathering your articles that need fixing! The cafe fixers have mended and fixed everything from cuckoo clocks to holey shirts to lamps and electronics. Most popular is getting knives and tools sharpened.
It's amazing how many talented fixers we have in our little town and how generous they are with their time and skills. In return we ask for a donation to the food shelf. Please register your things needing fixing here: www.transitioncharlottevt.org
We also hope that you will stick around and enjoy lunch and learn some skills from your fixer.
For those of you that don't know....the Repair Cafe is sponsored by 'Transition Town Charlotte" a local group of volunteers dedicated to building individual and community resilience in the face of climate change. We focus on local action that helps us all reconnect, share and learn new skills, be informed, and reduce our negative environmental impact. . Co-sponsors include the Charlotte Library, the Charlotte Congregational Church and the Charlotte Grange. To learn more: https://www.transitioncharlottevt.org/
