Backcountry Skiing All 110 Mountains in Vermont Above 3000′
Spencer Crispe

Thursday, February 13th, 2020, 7 PM
GMC Visitor Center, Waterbury Center, VT

Over the course of 4 winters, Spencer became the first person to climb and ski down every major mountain in Vermont – all 110 of them. Not even sure it could be done, this proved to be a strenuous experience filled with ludicrous obstacles and technical challenges. 60% of these major Vermont mountains have no official trail, at times requiring thick, nearly impenetrable bushwhacking through outrageous snow depths to reach the summit. Spencer comes to share stories and answer questions from surmounting this profound challenge and one-of-a-kind unforgettable adventure.

For more than a hundred years the Long Trail has inspired Vermonters to seek adventure in the Green Mountains and beyond. The James P. Taylor Outdoor Adventure Series, named after the man who first envisioned the Long Trail, brings such adventures to you through stories, photographs, and videos. Join us for inspiring presentations that will transport you to mountains and waterways near and far as we celebrate twenty-eight years of the Taylor Series—a great way to spend an evening!
