BACK ROADS STORIES FOR GROWNUPS VALENTINE'S PROGRAM
Why should the kids have all the fun?
Love stories, music and lots of goodies are in store for all of you who join us for Back Roads Stories, the story hour for grownups, on Sunday, February 9 at 2 p.m. at the Broad Brook Community Center, 3940 Guilford Center Road, Guilford.
Our storytellers are Susan Rosano, Dennis Waring and Dot MacDonald, followed by a Valentine's songfest presented by the ukulele group the Green Mountain Strummers (and guests). Hosted by Don McLean, Back Roads Stories, a program of the Guilford Free Library, is free and open to the public.
As an added bonus, tickets for the library's Send a Kid to Camp 10th Anniversary raffle will be available at $10 each. The library has raised almost $17,000 and provided camp, free for Guilford residents and $50 for non-residents, for several hundred kids over the past nine years. The raffle proceeds will allow this wonderful tradition to continue. The prize is a $200 gift certificate to T.J. Buckley's Restaurant in Brattleboro.
The BBCC is an accessible facility. A video of our November program is available at BCTV, https://www.brattleborotv.org/couch-potatoe-productions/back-road-stories-11119.
