The Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary Club will host a speech contest for high school students residing within Charlotte, Shelburne or Hinesburg on Wednesday, February 12 at 5pm at the Pierson Library in Shelburne. $1,000 Grand Prize Winner in last year's contest was Christel Tonoki, sponsored by Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary Club!

This year's topic: How does Rotary connect to my world?

Prepare & Deliver a five-minute speech which relates the relevance of this topic to teamwork and to everyday relationships.
High School Age Students Only. Memorization not required.

Round 1 – Prize $100 Local contest sponsored by Charlotte Shelburne Hinesburg Rotary on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5 pm at Pierson Library Community Room in Shelburne.
Round 2 – Prize $150 Compete against other Round 1 Club Winners from other nearby Rotary Clubs before April 1, 2020. Date & location to be determined by Rotary Assistant Governors.
Round 3 – Prize $250 Compete against up to ten other Round 2 Area Winners at the District 7850 Conference before lunch on Saturday May 2, 2020 at Jay Peak Resort, Jay, VT.
Round 4 – Grand Prize $500 Compete against the one other Round 3 Finalist before evening dinner on Saturday May 2, 2020 at the District 7850 Conference at Jay Peak Resort, Jay, VT.
