Melany Letourneau from the Department of Labor, Workforce Development, will present a free three-part workshop series at the Manchester Community Library, "Working From Home: Is It for You? on Thursdays, January 23, 30, and February from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: THE START OF THIS WORKSHOP WAS DELAYED A WEEK. Many people dream of working from home or being their own boss. If you are one of them, come and explore the opportunities, pitfalls, and pathways to creating your own success.
Conversations over the three-week period will include topics: Vermontrepreneur, Telecommuting, online worker, other types of independent employment (positive and negative), as well as sidelining, while being employed in your community.
Participants will explore Vermont Labor Market Information including contact information for employers and will learn to integrate their personality, maximize their skills, and work around their barriers.
