League of Women Voters Presents “Implicit Bias”

The League of Women Voters, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library, is pleased to present the third in its 2019-20 Speaker Series on "Criminal Justice in Vermont."
On Wednesday, January 22, The League will present a special workshop on Implicit Bias. This implicit bias training and discussion is a 2-hour presentation that explores how we unconsciously attribute certain qualities to members of a particular race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc. Discussion will include how these associations are formed, the impact they have on our behavior, and how we unconsciously evaluate others despite our best intentions. Xusana Davis, Vermont's Executive Director of Racial Equity, will introduce facilitator, Bor Yang.
Bor Yang serves as the Executive Director and Legal Counsel for the Vermot Human Rights Commission.
