Take Action Grand Isle County and Lean Left VT are teaming up to host a showing of the film Suppressed: The Fight for the Vote. The film weaves together personal stories from voters across the state of Georgia to paint a vivid picture of voter suppression in the 2018 Governor's race. It is not just Georgia. Since 2013, when the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, 25 states have passed laws that make it harder to vote. The film is showing at the Worthen Library in South Hero on Wednesday January 22nd at 6:30 pm. After the film, there will be a discussion including action ideas to fight voter suppression.
