What does Lake Champlain Delta Waterfowl Actually do? Well we do many things right here in VT. We started as a group of average Vermonters with a common passion for our wildlife and a drive to conserve them for future generations. We initially wanted to create a waterfowl nesting program like this state has never seen before. We approached some different organizations to help guide us to be successful. That's where delta waterfowl came in and welcomed us with open arms they gave us guidance and pushed us to do even more. So we now have a thriving nesting program that continues to grow each year creating more waterfowl for everyone to enjoy. We also have coordinated with WVPD and have held several days where we teach there summer camp kids about conservation and we teach them how to build duck boxes and hen rolls. The kids do a great job and build to there hearts content. Our members are also very active volunteers helping the state capture and band both ducks and geese. We also offer first hunt opportunities along with veteran hunts. During the summer we hold a delta day event that includes a BBQ demonstrations and lots of fun and admission is free. Back to our dinner there will be a little something there for everyone. So join us Saturday January 4 at 5 pm and support this great local charity and most of all our local wildlife. Tickets will not be sold at the door and must be purchased in advance! No credit card no problem tickets may also be purchased through any comity member (I am a comity member) with cash or check.
