Our culture bombards us with messages of joy and happiness during the holiday season. Office parties, family gatherings, and gift-giving all become occasions for socializing and festivity. But not everyone is up and cheery for the holiday season. In fact, many people are dealing with hidden grief or loss. Mourning the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce, coping with a job loss, living with illness or trauma, and any number of other human situations can make this season painful.
If this describes the holiday season for you or someone you love, you are invited to attend the Rites of Passage, LLC "Blue Holiday Workshop" on Wednesday, December 18th from 7pm-8:30pm in Room 7 at the O.N.E. Community Center, 20 Allen St., Burlington, VT.
This workshop will be a safe space of acknowledgment and acceptance. It will include space for reflection, a centering meditation, and time to share tools for navigating the holidays in ways that feel healing and life-affirming to you. Whether you embrace the religious or cultural aspects of the holiday season (or both) you are welcome. People of all secular or spiritual worldviews are encouraged to attend.
The workshop cost is $15 and space is limited to 15 people. Pre-registration is required. You can respond through Facebook @ritesofpassagevt, e-mail directly at ritesofpassagevt@gmail.com, visit our website at https://ritesofpassagevt.com/, or call 802-825-8141 to reserve your spot. Payment will be received by cash or check at the time of the workshop.
The holiday season is hard for those whose hearts are hurting. You are not alone.
