This class is for absolute beginners. No experience required. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of this simple, portable, ancient craft of turning string into fabric. The class runs two weeks, 2 hours each night. You will learn to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increase and decrease. Once you've learned these basic skills you can knit anything. Whether you're a total beginner or a long-lost knitter who needs a refresher, this class is for you. This format allows time to practice between sessions then get some practical tips to increase your pleasure and quality of workmanship. After you've taken Intro to Knitting you're all set for a project based class.

Suggested donation of $20 - 40 per session.
Please purchase one pair of size 6 circular needles 16 -20 in. in length (ask your local yarn shop for help), one set of size 7 double pointed needles 6 in. in length, and a ball of worsted-weight yarn before class.
