Introductory French for Genealogists October 26, 2019
Do you want to translate some genealogy records from French? Or do you want to visit archives or ancestral homes in Quebec? Marc Juneau will cover some basic French vocabulary as well as some standard grammar in this 90 minute presentation, including a bit of "travel French" to help us understand road signs, read maps and avoid getting lost. Two optional sessions on Tuesday afternoons will also be offered for those who wish to continue their French instruction beyond this introduction. Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $10.00 for members, $15.00 for non-members. Classes run from 10:30 to noon. The library is located on Hegeman Ave, Fort Ethan Allen, Colchester. Parking and entrance are across from the State Police. Visit our website www.vtgenlib.org or call 802-350-1333 for more details.
