"HAROLD WESTON: FREEDOM IN THE WILD"
Join Shelburne Museum curator Katie Wood Kirchhoff for an exploration of Harold Weston's paintings, journals, and related ephemera while considering ways that Weston's art and practice connected the natural world to the boundless freedom of the human spirit. Dubbed the Thoreau of the Adirondacks, Weston is best known for his thickly painted, expressionistic views of the Adirondacks from the 1920's. This is the sixth of nine Fall Series lectures sponsored by the Lamoille Valley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and will be on Wednesday October 16 at the Commodores Inn, 823 S. Main Street, Stowe. Sessions start promptly at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free as this lecture is sponsored by the Stowe Free Library, and made possible by a grant from the Copley Fund.
