On Saturday, 10/19, Calais will host SEVEN other schools for 10-minute 4v4 games between 11am and 2pm. It takes a village, as they say, and I'm often proud when our village comes together!
That said, I'm hopeful for some volunteers and/or donations to help make this a success for our youngest athletes and community! In addition to the games, we'll have concessions and are hopeful for fun skills challenge stations. The number of stations will be limited by the number of volunteers. Initial plans are hopeful for Longest Kick, Longest Throw-In, Juggling, Full Field Dribble, Passing, Shots on Net. The first two will be measured and require long tapes, seen in track meets. The next two events will be timed by stop watches. The last two will be accuracy based and we have the cones and nets.
Anyone wish to run a station? Have a stop-watch or long tape to lend? What about face paint or face painting skills? How about items for the concession? If you can donate or volunteer, please sign-up here!
