Dear Friends & Neighbors, Come to the Salmon Festival in Richmond this weekend to learn about the history and restoration of Atlantic salmon in Lake Champlain and the Winooski River! You can see live salmon and learn about regional efforts to protect salmon and their habitats!
The Festival will be at Volunteers' Green with special talks and film screenings upstairs at the Richmond Free Library. You can learn more about salmon in Lake Champlain from salmon and habitat biologists, take a guided canoe float on the Winooski, learn to cast a fly rod, and stock salmon into the Huntington River.
Be sure to stop by the Richmond Post Office to get a special limited-edition USPS International Year of the Salmon Stamp Cancellation.
