The City of Winooski invites you to join us for a special Commission Orientation event!
• Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 / 6:00 - 7:30 PM
• @ Winooski City Hall (27 West Allen St.)
On July 15th, Winooski City Council approved the re-alignment of our commissions with the City's Strategic Vision areas (including updated bylaws and charters). On July 30th, the City invited interested community members to apply for open seats on all of our commissions and on September 16th, City Council appointed many new members.
All newly appointed commissioners have been invited to take part in this orientation, where we will go over:
• the City's Strategic Vision and Master Plan
• Vermont Open Meeting Law and the City's ethics policy
• the City's equity and inclusion goals
View the links for the related dates and documents above here: https://www.winooskivt.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=204
City Staff and Commission Liaisons will be in attendance to help answer any questions about City operations and service on a Commission. While this Orientation will be geared to new Commissioners, all community members are welcome to join and learn more about service on a Commission and City operations! Interested community members can learn more or apply to be on any commission by visiting www.winooskivt.gov/244/Commissions.
Please note: This is not a regular meeting of any commission. No agenda items, testimony, or minutes shall be taken during this meeting.
