The Artist In Residence Gallery at 10 S. Main St in St. Albans invites you to our monthly Featured Artists Reception on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The Gallery is the setting for the beautiful work of 40 outstanding Vermont artists in a wide range of mediums with prices. Each month our artists gather to socialize with our visitors and our featured artist give a brief presentation about their work. Light refreshments and pleasant conversation are available.
The featured artists for the month of September are:
Lori Niederer has been painting for many years. Her current watercolors are inspired by the skies, mountains and lakes of Vermont and New York. She strives to share the beauty she finds with others through a continuing study of light and color and impressions. Lori lives in Fairfield, Vermont and the Adirondacks of New York where she skis, sails, canoes and roams around. Lori is one of October's featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, VT.
Deborah Travis is a watercolor painter and fiber artist. Both her watercolors and her fiber works incorporate drawing, various dyes, and resists. She utilizes shibori techniques, marbling, and painting in her mixed media quilts, hangings, and wearable art. Deborah is one of October's featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, VT.
Gillian Ireland\ briefly revisited pottery twenty years after a single college class, gave it up again to focus on her family and career, and only recently resumed what has now become an enjoyable obsession. Gillian produces brightly-colored functional pieces in her basement studio, while continuing to balance work and family. Gillian is one of October's featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, VT.
