Horse Manure Management & Water Quality Workshop Sept. 21

WHEN: Saturday, September 21st, 9-11am
WHERE: Birch Hill Farm, 399 Browns Trace Road, Jericho, VT
FREE and open to the public

Have a horse? Take care of 50 horses? Join the Winooski Conservation District for coffee and donuts, and a low-key chat about what Vermont's Required Agricultural Practices means for horse facilities, and best practices for managing horse manure for both pasture health and water quality.

Why go? Many horse owners and horse facilities in Vermont don't realize the Required Agricultural Practices apply to them. We're hosting this event to answer any questions or concerns about the regulations. The event also offers two water quality training credits for horse facilities that must acquire them (those housing or hosting more than 39 horses).

More information, including the registration/donut preference link, can be found here: http://winooskinrcd.org/wp-content/uploads/Farm-tour-flyer-1.pdf
