Elementary Lessons In Education: Joan Nye reflects on 47 years of teaching

The Georgia Historical Society will host Joan Nye, who retired from the Georgia Elementary School in June after 47 years of teaching first grade. Known as a strict but loving educator who always put her students first, Joan will reflect on how first grade has changed over the years and what it takes to prepare young people for success in today's world.
