Special UU Two-Part Series Begins Sunday

Past event

We are anticipating a wonderful new church season. UU minister Reverend Mara Dowdall will lead two services for our fellowship each month. She begins on Sunday, September 15 in a two part-sermon series where she will explore the importance of being able to say both "yes" and "no,"as we seek to live lives of meaning, depth and purpose. On the 15th, she will consider how a stance of "yes" can enrich and embolden our journeys. On the 22nd, she will explore the complementary importance of being able to set limits with our "no." We will also think about how to discern when and whether we are being called to a "yes" or "no." Rev. Mara Dowdall is a UU minister currently working as an interfaith hospital chaplain at UVM Medical Center. A 2007 graduate of Harvard Divinity School, Mara has served UU congregations in Wellesley, MA, Montpelier, and - most recently -Burlington, VT. Mara is an exceptional spiritual leader and we are blessed to have her with us so often this year. Prior to her call to ministry, Mara worked in national politics and advocacy. Originally from Philadelphia, Mara now lives in Burlington with her family.

Please join us at St. John's Episcopal Church on the Mountain Road for our 4:30 pm service every Sunday afternoon. For more information, call 802 793-1292, or visit our Facebook site, UU Fellowship of Stowe, or our website: bit.ly/stoweuu
