Join Guilford Cares and the Conservation Commission on Tuesday morning, Sept. 10 at 10:30 for a scenic, leisurely walk in Green River.
Linda Lembke, our expert guide, will inform our observations about the role conservation has had in the history of the Grassy Spur (also known as Sheppie's Meadow) and other lands along the Green River. We will also take a look at invasive plant management.
This is an easy, 1 mile total walk on a grassy path along the river. Park on the west side of the Green River Covered Bridge. We will meet at the meadow gate (150 yards east of the bridge). For information and to arrange a ride call 579-1350; gcares@comcast.net.
