Meeting About Town Hall Performing Arts Sept. 11

Past event
Sep 11, 2019, 7 PM

There will be a meeting on Wednesday, September 11th at 7 pm at the Huntington Town Hall to talk about revitalizing the Town Hall's role as a community performance space

The meeting is a follow-up to the Huntington Town Hall Performing Arts Survey. The survey results showed that a majority of respondents are interested in performing arts activities at the Town Hall. Interest was fairly evenly divided among music, theater and spoken word events.

The Town Hall Committee is in contact with a theatre professional who could be the lead organizer/director for a multi-act "revue" that will incorporate a variety of performing arts. The project would include community members as coordinators, artists, performers, and technicians. The current proposal is an initial concept that we would like to develop further with community input. If there is sufficient interest, the Town Hall Committee can apply for a grant to support the professional organizer/director.

Please be in contact (huntingtontownhall@gmail.com or Mariah Riggs at cell #802 338-8508) with any comments or questions, or to let us know if you are interested in attending the meeting.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Mariah Riggs & Barbara Felitti
for the Town Hall Committee (Aaron Worthley, chair; Linda Fickbohm and Terry Boyle, members)
