Homestead Hops Tour & Taste - Aug. 15

Past event
Aug 15, 2019, 4 to 8 PM

Kelly and Kathleen Norris, owners of Homestead Hops and Norris Sugarworks, invite you to come enjoy the beautiful scenery at their farm in South Starksboro on Thursday, August 15th from 4 PM - 8 PM, as part of the the 5th Annual Vermont Open Farm Week. Take a walk through the trellised two acre hop yard and take in the sights and smells of these majestic plants. Learn about how they were once Vermont's largest agricultural crop. Hogback Mountain Brewing, Hired Hand Brewing Co., Foam Brewers, and Lawson's Finest Liquids will be serving beer truly crafted with local ingredients, including hops grown at Homestead Hops! Come enjoy the delicious end result of our hard work for a unique yard to glass experience. Ariel's Honey Infusions will also be there with her Hoppy Honey! Take a seat by the fire or wander up by the pond. Food will be available, as well!

Norris Sugarworks is an 18,000 tap sugarbush, comprised of land from Kelly's maternal and paternal grandparents. Kelly and Kathleen are proud to be the third generation to sugar these woods. They make some of the finest Pure Vermont Maple Syrup, certified organic, which to them mostly means that they are good stewards of the forest. Maple syrup, cream, sugar, and candy will be available for purchase.

Homestead Hops Tour & Taste will now be by donation only (just to help offset the costs associated with hosting the event). We hope you can join us!
