Join friends at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 PM to honor Elka and Peter Schumann of Bread and Puppet Theatre.

Professor John Bell, Director of the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, and long-time Bread and Puppet performer, will speak on the importance of Bread and Puppet Theater in the history of puppetry and pageant. Elka and Peter will be presented with keys to the Athenaeum, and a short performance will follow. A festive gathering with beer, wine, and bread and aioli will conclude the event.
