Children, teens, and their families are invited to join Aldrich children's librarian Ian and local NASA Solar System Ambassador Rick McMahan on an interactive guided tour through the Barre Planet Path, a permanent, scale model of the Solar System on the Barre City Bike Path featuring the Sun, planets, asteroids, and Proxima Centauri (our next closest star). Meet this Saturday, July 13 at 1:00PM at the Bike Path behind BCEMS. No need to bring anything, but dress for weather conditions and bring water (the path comprises 3/4 of a mile). The Planet Path, sponsored and installed by Kiwanis Club of Barre, features aluminum signs with QR codes that retrieve informational videos, so feel free to bring a smartphone.
