Have you wondered how the Vermont Humanities Council selects a "Vermont Reads" book? Have any books at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library been challenged, as has happened in other parts of the country? The Adamant Community Club will hold a public forum on what lies ahead for libraries and the humanities, on Sunday, February 2, at 3:00 PM. The event is part of the Community Club's "Winter Sunday" series. Our guests will be Carolyn Picazio, Director of Library Services at Montpelier's Kellogg-Hubbard Library, and Christopher Kaufman Illstrup, Executive Director of the Vermont Humanities Council. They will discuss the changing nature of their respective positions in these challenging times, and take questions from the audience.
The forum is free. The Adamant Community Club is located at the intersection of Martin and Haggett Roads, Adamant. For information, call 802-454-7103.
