Have you been curious to see what’s growing at Dave Hartshorn’s Green Mountain Hydroponic Greenhouse in Waitsfield? It’s filled with lettuce, kale, and cilantro—all grown without soil. Come in from the cold and learn how he uses nutrient-filled solutions to grow food year-round. Dave will share how the greenhouse was moved from across the country to the Mad River Valley, and how the quarter-acre structure will one day produce more than 300,000 heads of lettuce a year.
