The Unadilla Theatre opens its fortieth season with Gilbert and Sullivan's perennially fresh comic opera, "The Pirates of Penzance." The show runs Thursdays through Sundays from June 27 to July 14. Curtain time is 7:30 PM. Pirates, policemen (slight resemblance to keystone cops), a major general, beautiful daughters, a piratical maid-of-all work, gorgeous music, the wittiest dialogue ever penned, performed with panache by passionate devotees of the immortal pair. Performed in a rural setting with cows and sheep occasionally commenting on the action. Enjoy picnicking on the grounds weather permitting.
