The Children’s Room, The Waterbury Public Library and Thatcher Brook Primary School are teaming up to bring The Vermont Institute of Natural Science and their “Raptor Encounters Show” to the TBPS Gymnasium on Saturday, April 5th. The doors open at 9:30 a.m. Come enjoy this first-hand encounter that enables participants to understand the defining characteristics that make a bird a raptor and their adaptations for life as a predator on the wing. Refreshments, books, a craft, touchable artifacts and hands-on materials round out this special experience. This show will be especially tailored for families with children ages birth to 10 years old. This event is free and made possible with funding from Central Vermont Building Bright Futures.
