The classic story of the Ugly Duckling comes to new, musical life in HONK! JR., a heartwarming tale of being different and the lessons we can all learn. MCP Foundations will present HONK! JR. on November 7-10, 2019, at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury.
Aspiring performers are invited to audition either date (just come once):
Wednesday, June 26th — Register at 6:00pm, start at 6:30pm (end by 9:00pm)
Saturday, June 29th — Register at 9:30am, start at 10:00am (end by 12:30pm)

A song and simple dance will be taught, and everyone will read from the script. Auditioners must be 8 years old by September 1, 2019, and have parental permission to audition and perform. MCP’s Foundations program exists to give the young and not-so-young a first opportunity to explore the joys of community theater. Please join us!
Approximately 24 roles (plus ensemble) for children of any gender ages 8-13 (exceptions may be made for mature younger children). Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story “The Ugly Duckling.” Music by George Stiles, Book & Lyrics by Anthony Drewe (the team who wrote the musical Mary Poppins). For MCP: Directed, choreographed & musical direction by Kymberly Breckenridge; produced by Tom Noble; stage managed by Margaret Gish; production support by Dora Greven and Mary Longey.
