Join Slate Valley Trails and the Rutland County Audubon Society for weekly (more or less) slow-paced hikes in Poultney-Castleton-Middletown Springs-Wells area.

For this outing we will walk the SVT Fairgrounds West trails (3 miles, 3 to 3-1/2 hours, Easy terrain). Meet at the East Poultney green (church parking lot), at 7:30am. We will pack into as few cars as possible, as there is not much space to park at the trailhead. Bring water (and tick/black fly/mosquito repellent if you use it), binoculars, cameras, field guides, if you have them.

All are welcome. No worry if you can't identify many birds. There are many friendly and accomplished birders in the group who will happily share their knowledge with you.
