The Chittenden County Homeless Alliance (CCHA) will be holding a community forum on May 29 from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. in the community room at the South End City Market location (207 Flynn Ave.) to talk about the results of the 2019 Point in Time (PIT) count.
The PIT count is a count and survey of all individuals and families experiencing "literal homelessness" in Vermont. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development considers individuals and families "literally homeless" when they live in a place not meant for human habitation (such as a tent, a vehicle, or on the streets), or in an emergency shelter, in transitional housing, or in a hotel paid for by a government or charitable organization.
