There's an important School Board vote happening this Tuesday, 7am to 7pm at the Town Clerk's Office. Or swing by Monday from 8:30am to 4:30pm for early voting.

This is for the "merged board" if we end up being forced into a merger. (The legal challenge to forced merger will soon be at the Vermont Supreme Court.) The merged board has 10 seats--2 per town. Of the 10 seats, 9 are uncontested. (Thank you Chris McVeigh and Marylynne Strachan for representing Middlesex!)

One seat is contested. I'm supporting Dorothy Naylor. She's a retired schoolteacher and is currently on the Calais school board. I've worked with her for years in fighting to keep our local school boards. She is dedicated, intelligent, and stands up for what is right. That's why I'm voting for Dorothy Naylor on Tuesday.
