Sonya Buglion Gluck is going to be hosting an Ecuadorian Dinner and Silent Auction at the River Arts Center in Morrisville on August 16th at 6:00! This is an amazing opportunity for her to make the final fundraising push to raise the $12,500 she has been working towards to pay for the semester in Ecuador she will be doing this fall through an out-door education program called Kroka Expeditions.
Menu:
Ensalada mixta con aderezo de cilantro cal (fresh salad with cilantro lime dressing)
Empanadas:
frijol negro (black bean)
carne de res (beef)
Arroz con menestra de lentejas (lentil stew with rice)
Arroz con fritada de gallina (rice and a chicken dish made with beer, garlic, onion and cumin)
Flan de coco (coconut flan)
The Silent Auction will feature services and items from local businesses and community members including a scenic aerial tour of northern Vermont for two, a hill top pony ride, a XLC backpack with Scotchlite reflective material and Solstice WSD Bontrager helmet from Chuck's bikes, and needle felted designs from Heartbeet Lifesharing.
