The U.S. Postal Carriers will be collecting food donations this Saturday, May 11th. The Winooski Food Shelf will be receiving this food. We currently have 259 families registered with us. It is only through the generosity of the community that we are able to help support families struggling to make ends meet. Many of our clients would have to choose between paying for prescriptions or buying food. This is not a choice anyone in poor health should be forced to make. Please leave some nonperishable food (please only non expired date) by your mail box for your postal carrier to take. Much needed items include: children's cereal, canned beef stew, chunky soups with steak or beef, canned hash, canned pasta meals,boxed pasta or rice meals, tomato paste, canned beans, pasta sauce, canned fruit, toiletries, laundry detergent and dish detergent.
