Hi all! My daughter Samantha Murray's dance performance "Somewhere Between Nostalgia and Blindness" is this coming Saturday, May 4, at Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio on Langdon Street. Here's what she has to say about it:

"I have developed this show throughout the past year thanks to the inspiration from the wonderful performer Noah Witke Mele. I've always had more choreographic inspiration than I have known what to do with, so I've used this project as an outlet for all of the impulses I've had in the past four years. The result is a show put together from entirely separate pieces and genres, essentially a condensed version of my thoughts in the past year about my transition from high school to college and leaving home for the first time. I will be attending Mount Holyoke College next year to continue studying dance, so this show is my starting point."

She has been working on this performance all year - she is the choreographer and also one of the dancers. Her amazing group of dancers who have also been working hard all year are Isabelle Banse, AnnaMaria DiPietropaolo, Daniel Jestes, Hannah Leslie, Juliet Rappaport and Erin Sullivan.
