City Council Meeting Agenda

Hi, neighbors! Yesterday was the 49th annual Earth Day. Every year, the Earth Day Network chooses a theme for Earth Day. This year's theme was "Protect our Species." Yesterday, and over the last few weeks, I've been paying especially close attention to the seasonal changes in "wild" Montpelier. Going for long walks are feeding my curiosity and serving as a mindfulness practice, making for equal parts therapy and play! I am in awe of every fuzzy branch, bud, crocus, worm and section of moss (or as I affectionately call it, "earth carpet") I see. No matter how many springs I live through, I can't get over the awesomeness of the return of these things and look forward to them every year. Rachel Carson, author, environmentalist and marine biologist, said on conservation: "One way to open your eyes is to ask yourself, 'What if I had never seen this before? What if I knew I would never see it again?'" I hope that you get a chance to enjoy this beautiful day. If and when you do, I hope you feel the same sense of awe of our surroundings that I do! On that note, please join us tomorrow at City Hall, or online/ on TV for the April 24th City Council meeting. See the agenda and a link to supporting documents below.
